Hands in the Festival
Craftsmanship
The Beauty of Details
Craftsmanship adds an essential element to our celebration. Our artisans work with passion and dedication on every detail, raising the uniqueness of our festivities to an even higher level.

Drum Craftsmanship
Our Sound
In the handcrafted creation of "Holy Week drums," a crucial aspect is the making of a cylindrical shell, made from a brass band. The most delicate part of the drum is the "chillones," which are thick and made from gut. The "skins" must be made of goat or kid leather to ensure a good sound and are held with a string and approximately 18 or 20 leather rings.

Metal Craftsmanship
Our Golden Glow
Artisans are almost exclusively dedicated to serving the brotherhoods and hermandades, crafting items such as the Jewish helmets, the metal parts of the drums, and parts of the metal costumes. They use traditional decorative techniques like repoussé, dotting, incised decoration, stamping, etc., to create patterns and reliefs on the metal. These elements, crafted with great skill, are essential to keeping the centuries-old tradition of Baena alive.

Textile Craftsmanship
Our Attire
Textile craftsmanship remains an integral part of the Holy Week traditions in Baena. It includes everything from the jackets of the Jews to the delicate mantles and skirts of the Virgin's images, as well as the little white costumes and numerous embroidered standards, pennants, and brotherhood insignia.
